I haven't quite finished HZD yet. I'm around the part where you go to Sunfall after taking down the evil guys' network (I think I literally saved just outside of Sunfall last time I played) - not sure how far along that is in the story! I actually didn't think I would like HZD as much as I did, the more I play it the more I notice stuff it did really well - and the story is interesting and sad.

Re: quality of life, yeah that's definitely part of it. Like, these are things I want to improve for sure but none of them are immediately pressing; even the strange urgency is more amorphous than anything. My apartment is not great but if has been not great for 6 years and several more months won't make it worse -- XD maintaining the status quo is less scary than change, even good change!
